This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your access to and use of the NOVA-3 platform, the interactive playground/demo, the developer API, the Module Library, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by QAI Labs Ltd. ("QAI Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). The AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
We take safety, security, and the responsible use of antibody-design technology seriously. Violation of this AUP is a material breach of the Terms of Service and may result in immediate suspension or termination, and, where appropriate, reporting to law enforcement or other authorities.
1. Scope
This AUP applies to everyone who accesses or uses the Service, including account holders, authorized users, Customers, and anyone using the developer API or playground/demo. You are responsible for ensuring that your personnel, agents, and end users comply with this AUP.
2. Biosecurity and Dual-Use Restrictions
This is a critical, non-negotiable section. The Service must never be used to cause harm to public health or safety.
You must not use the Service, its Outputs, the Module Library, or any related technology, directly or indirectly, to design, develop, engineer, optimize, produce, manufacture, acquire, stockpile, or otherwise facilitate any of the following:
- Biological weapons or their precursors, or any biological agent intended or adapted to cause harm;
- Chemical, radiological, or nuclear weapons or their precursors;
- Toxins intended for use as weapons or to cause harm;
- Select agents or other regulated biological agents or toxins controlled under applicable law;
- Pathogens or agents with pandemic potential, or the enhancement of the transmissibility, virulence, host range, immune evasion, or environmental stability of any pathogen in a manner that could increase its potential to harm public health and safety; or
- Any product, process, or knowledge intended to harm humans, animals, plants, or the environment, or to evade detection, diagnosis, treatment, or established biosafety or biosecurity controls.
You further must not:
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, degrade, or defeat any safety, screening, filtering, or security control implemented in or around the Service;
- Use the Service to research or facilitate any of the prohibited activities above, including by obfuscating, splitting, or fragmenting requests to evade safeguards; or
- Use the Service in violation of biosecurity, biosafety, export control, or non-proliferation laws, regulations, or international obligations.
If you become aware that the Service is being, or may be, used for any prohibited purpose, you must immediately stop and report it to security@qailabs.co.
3. No Clinical or Diagnostic Reliance Without Independent Validation
The Service produces computational predictions for research and informational purposes only. Outputs are not medical advice and are not for clinical diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or any decision affecting patient care.
You must not:
- Rely on Outputs for any clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, or patient-care decision without independent, appropriate experimental validation and compliance with all applicable regulatory, ethical, and institutional requirements;
- Represent that the Service or its Outputs are clinically validated, regulatory-approved, or a medical device when they are not; or
- Use the Service in any manner that would require regulatory clearance or approval that has not been obtained.
You are solely responsible for validating Outputs and for any decisions you make based on them.
4. No Unlawful, Infringing, or Harmful Use
You must not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights;
- Infringe or misappropriate any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property or proprietary right;
- Upload, submit, or process data that you do not have the right to use, or that contains malware, or that violates privacy or confidentiality obligations;
- Engage in fraud, deception, harassment, defamation, or any activity that is harmful, abusive, or threatening; or
- Generate or distribute content that is unlawful or that facilitates any of the prohibited activities in this AUP.
5. Security Restrictions
You must not:
- Access without authorization any account, system, network, or data, or attempt to do so;
- Scrape, harvest, or perform automated extraction of data or content from the Service except as expressly permitted by the API terms;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, models, or Module Library, or attempt to derive source code, model weights, training data, or underlying algorithms, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by law;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure, without our prior written authorization;
- Circumvent or interfere with rate limits, quotas, usage metering, or other technical or access controls;
- Share, sell, or transfer account credentials or API keys, or allow unauthorized parties to use your access; or
- Introduce malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Service.
6. No Misuse of Compute; No Competing Model
You must not:
- Use the Service to mine cryptocurrency or otherwise misuse, overload, or consume computational resources in a manner inconsistent with normal, authorized use;
- Use the Service, its Outputs, or any data derived from it to train, develop, or improve a competing model, platform, or service, or to benchmark for the purpose of building a competing product; or
- Resell, sublicense, time-share, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your agreement with us.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any actual or suspected violation of this AUP, security vulnerability, or misuse of the Service, please report it promptly to security@qailabs.co. We appreciate good-faith reports and will investigate appropriately.
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. We reserve the right, with or without notice, to:
- Remove, disable, or restrict access to content or accounts;
- Suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part;
- Take any technical or legal measures we deem appropriate to protect the Service, our users, and the public; and
- Cooperate with law enforcement and other authorities, and disclose information as required by law or to prevent harm.
Our decision not to enforce any provision of this AUP in a particular instance does not waive our right to enforce it later. Enforcement actions are in addition to any other remedies available to us under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time to address new risks, technologies, or legal requirements. We will post the updated AUP with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
